More than twenty-six repurposing projects have been developed during 2010-2012 giving rise to five drugs with promising experimental results, being the most advanced drug SOM0226 for the treatment of Amyloidosis TTR as a protein stabilizer and fibril disruptive drug. Several patents are in writing process or have been filed recently.

SOM0226 presented at the XIIIth International Symposium on Amyloidosis

SOM0226, a reprofiled drug for the treatment of TTR amyloidosis, has been presented at the XIIIth International Symposium on Amyloidosis in Groningen, The Netherlands. The product has been recognized as one of the most promising in-coming therapies by the scientific expert community in the field.
